Ball Bearings

Ball Bearings offer the truest rolling motion and least friction of any bearing type.

Description / Ball Bearings

Ball bearings use balls to carry the applied load. As there is a point-contact (compared with a line contact for roller bearings) the load carrying capacity is lower than for roller bearings. Ball bearings can support both radial (perpendicular to the shaft) and axial loads (parallel to the shaft). For lightly loaded bearings, balls offer lower friction than rollers.
